myocarditis and palpitations

I was diagnosed with peri-myocarditis 2 months ago, spent time in the hospital (Germany + socialized medicine means a very thorough work up, etc) and then was released with the doctors being very satisfied and being told to see them in three months. Just recently, about 4 days ago, I seem to have developed palpitations. They are not all day and they come and go. It doesn't help that I've also been experiencing bad anxiety attacks and am peri-menopausal. My question is: is it possible to develop palpitations so long after being diagnosed? I'm taking beta blockers, aspirin, rampiril, cholesterol meds and iron for anemia. I have no history of heart disease, my cholesterol is fine as is my blood pressure. My family doctor says the meds are preventative and that the hospital doctors are very conservative and careful.

I saw my family doctor yesterday and she says I'm fine, of course I wasn't having palpitations at that time, but she is going to do an EKG at my next visit. Otherwise she says stop worrying.

Since there's been a change it would be wise to bring this up with your primary care physician.  It's probably nothing but should get a look.

Thank you, while the in-patient care I received was excellent, I never got any other after care information except for the comment to "not do any sport, no heavy lifting, walk and try to get back to normal" and I certainly didn't know and still don't know all the questions to ask. It's been a confusing time, surfing the web for information and speaking with my family doctor. Upon release in the States I would've been snowed under with informative papers, here is just a different way of doing things.

Myocarditis can certainly cause all sorts of electrical confusion in your heart.  It can take 6+ months for it to run its course.
