Again, thanks so much for your concern, helpful advice and pep talks. It truly made a huge difference.
That is great news. Rest up and feel better soon. :)
Oh, good! I am so glad for you.
Cardioversion a success! Had to wait a bit for a 2nd INR, the finger prick showed INR was not therapeutic, but blood draw from vein showed okay. I had TEE and apparently blood clot was gone, because they zapped me only once and it did the job. I was somewhat dismayed to learn the doctor had wanted me started back on my anti-arrythmic the day before the cardioversion and I had called and asked that very question and told there was nothing in my chart indicating that. Anyway, they took me off the Cardiazem, which was causing me a ton of side effects and reduced the Metroprolol to one 25 mg. extended release at night. It seemed like it took a long time for the effects of the anesthesia to wear off and I am still not up to par. The PA did suspect fluid in my lungs and ordered a chest x-ray which confirmed it. A result of the Cardiazem, the afib or perhaps both. Anyway, gave me an IV shot of Lasix and pills for a couple of days. I've had a few thumps, bumps and rapid beats, but still in blessed nsr! Seems the first couple of days after a cardioversion are fraught with that sort of thing, but I am only 10 minutes from an ER, so feel pretty safe that way. I want to thank you all again for your good wishes -- it sent me off with the feeling everything would be fine and it was.
Ok I want in on this too. Best of luck on your procedure tomorrow, and may god bless you and see you through this.
Thanks -- can't have too many good thoughts and high hopes headed my way. I will post the outcome.
High hopes for a good outcome tomorrow!!
Thank you for your good wishes -- it gives me a much needed lift.
Best of luck you get back into NSR and things go as smoothly as can be hoped for. You have been through a lot lately. Sending you much love and healing. Feel better really soon!! (((HUGS)))
