Event Monittor Results

I've been feeling more palpitations then normal lately, so my cardiologist had me wear a event monitor for 2 weeks. Yesterday my doctor called and said everything looked fine just some single PAC's. I picked up the report today and it was pretty much as the doctor said except that I had one event that was called a wide complex tachycardia. I kept a notebook while I wore the monitor to take notes how I was feeling during certain events and I checked the time and date of the wide complex tachycardia and at the time I wrote very strong different feeling palpitation. when I asked my doctor what does a wide complex tachycardia mean he just said don't worry I don't care what the report said you don't have it. Has anybody else ever had this? Other then that I had 1 PVC, 44 PAC's, 2 Atrial runs, 1 Atrial couplet. My average HR was 67 with 65% normal, 34% brady, and 1% tachy. With no pauses of 3 seconds or more. The bradycardia is  exercise related so that really isn't a worry.Any opinions on the wide complex tachycardia would be appreciated..

The best I can guess not being a doctor is that the run looked like a run of pvcs but was actually a run of pacs or an atrial run.  From what I understand they can be confused in some instances.  The concerning thing is when any run does not revert on their own, even runs of pvcs can be considered harmless in an otherwise healthy heart if they don't sustain.  So odds are the doctor is not concerned for your heart health.  Has your heart been tested in general with an echo and ekg?  If it has then try to not worry.  Try to make sure you are well hydrated, avoid caffeine and carbohydrates, sugary and spicy foods.  Try to manage any acid reflux and stress.  And if you are a heavy exerciser make sure you do a proper warm up and cool down.  I find if I do my cardio first thing in the morning before I have eaten I have more problems then if I exercise later in the day.  It can be hard to totally be rid of them once you get them so just do your best to not hyper focus on them because they really aren't consider a danger.  Take care.
