If you have been evaluated by a doctor to have a sound heart the sheer history of ectopic beats being benign in nature is the proof really that you are not in danger. You are never guaranteed in life for anything. There is no saying what you are feeling isn't going to cause a problem down the road but odds are in your favor if you have a healthy heart and maintain a healthy lifestyle that you will die from something unrelated to your heart issues. But do go and get properly checked out and discuss this all with a doctor so they can help you understand this better and hopefully put your mind at ease. Take care.
How do i no if theyll cause a problem its as if my heart stops then starts again i dont no why but they scare me to death. I feel like im having a heatt attack when they happen.
In an otherwise healthy heart premature beats are not a threat. They are a natural phenomenon of the heart that sometimes get triggered in people for apparently no good reason but they are not dangerous, just distracting. They only time they may be dangerous is if a person has heart disease or long QT so as Jerry stated it is good to get them checked out to at least know your heart is healthy. At your young age it likely is. If so you will be directed to try and pinpoint and eliminate your triggers, which can be diets high in carbohydrates, imbalance in electrolytes, extreme exercise, stomach issues like acid reflux as well stress and anxiety are the biggest triggers. So go see your doctor to get properly looked at if you haven't and then just work on any issues that may be triggering your ectopic beats and you should be fine. Take care.
Premature Ventricle Contractions (PVCs) are very common, some people don't feel them, others find them very disruptive.. upsetting. All should be checked to assure they are "benign". Most are benign.
There are many contributors on this Community who experience PVC and PAC (atrial), I do not. But, I reply to give you a starting point in your thinking.
All unusual physical symptoms if persistent should be checked by a doctor, indeed, all, even the young, should get a periodic physical exam. I'd guess when I was in my 20s I went several years between physical exams, but I didn't have any symptoms that worried me either.
