Heart

I went to the doctor I was very short of breath can not walk and talk I cant get the words out becuase I can breath, I get dizzy even while sitting, very tired all the time neck and shoulder pain once in a while. My doctor did a EKG and an Echo the report said I had mild concertric left ventricular hypertrophy and diastolic dysfunction, but just gave me a water pill. Should I be really concerned?

Yes, I would ask for a consult with the doctor to get a clear picture of the health of your heart and what you can do and shouldn't do to keep it as healthy as possible moving forward.  You have a right to ask for and get advice on how to deal with the fact that you are having trouble functioning.  If need be seek a second opinion.  Doctors can be very busy so go in armed with your questions at the ready.  Take care and feel better soon.

You are entitled to an explanation of your condition and what it means.  My cardiologist's nurse is a great resource.  I once wrote her a letter and she checked with the doctor and got back to me with answers to all my questions.  You might want to start with a nurse or assistant for your questions.  Cardiologists are not the easier doctors to get an appointment with.  Good luck.
