I’m a 17 year old female experiencing persistent palpitations.
I went to the cardiologist last year- EKG came back with incomplete right bundle branch block, anterior fascicular block and left axis deviation. I also have a carotid bruit.
He said that I won’t need “treatment” until 2 years. I brushed it off as anxiety.
A year later, I started to experience lightheadness. I made sure I wasn’t dehydrated or that my blood pressure was too low. I thought it might be a ear infection. Told myself it’ll pass in 2 weeks or so. Several months passed - still feeling lightheaded.
That’s when I realized that I was feel lightheaded because of palpitations. I would feel a flutter in the chest then feel lightheaded. I also have shortness of breath and fatigue. I don’t feel a skipped beat, but more of either a heart drop, fluttering or continuous pounding that can happen in chest or throat. In the throat it can cause me to cough.
My blood pressure has been low.
83/45 is the lowest.
I have experienced near fainting (I think?) several days ago. I was sitting in a chair - then my heart started to “flutter”. I became lightheaded and felt like I could hardly breathe. My vision blurred and turned black and had a sudden rush of coldness.
I had a full panel blood test for things that can cause cardiovascular problems, and it all came back normal.
I have a family history of Afib, dilated cardiomyopathy and WPWS.
