Thank you all for taking the time to answer. I find every input on this topic so important for me these days. Therefore thank you again, your answers are so valuable for me!
Otherwise, I wish i could say my palpitations diminished as days pass, but unfortunately seems not to be the case. I get them mostly in several certain positions (left arm raised above head level), or as I lay on the bed on my beck.
I assume they might be somehow connected to stomach position relative to the heart. I am quite concerned of the nature of these palpitations (just simple pacs, or small runs of abnormal pathway recovery?), what they mean (just simple things without importance? or a sign of old tachy coming back, some sort of omen?), if all these palpitations would accompany me in my life from now on, or will get me have another ablation.
What you're experiencing is very normal. I had a similar ablation to yours, left side, general area you're describing. You will most likely experience skips and short runs of SVT for the coming weeks. Another after symptom is the dull ache right in the center of your chest. I had 17 burns, and the pain afterwards would cause me to stop and double over until it passed. Another after effect that others experience is perhaps caused by the transseptal puncture. It's been described as a sudden, sharp pain, centered in the chest. My electrophysiologist makes a habit of probing the septal wall aND found whathe was looking for, and overlap innthe wall that didn't completely seal. He was able to access the left side without the puncture.
Good luck on your recovery. It gave me my life back after 54 years of SVT.
Thank you. I aporeciate your answer, best of luck! If anyone else...
If I remember correctly it took me a few months to feel semi normal after ablation. The heart is still healing and make take some time to get back in rhythm and heal properly.
If you're unsure or feeling not yourself or off, I would def call and talk to the nurse or dr and get them to advise you what to do just to be safe.
My symptoms diminished after, but I still have quite a bit of stuff going on - but I do have HOCM which attributes to my symptoms.
hope you get some answers from your doctor
