IRBBB

I had an EKG done for eye surgery and it showed an IRBBB. This was a change from an EKG a  year ago. I do know that I have what they call a moderate blockage of my LAD in my heart. I was wondering if this is something I should be extremely concerned about & if so what should I do to follow up. Thank you

Thanks so much for your information. I was very concerned that I would have to do invasive testing as I am allergic to the iodine they use in the studies. I had an EKG back in Oct that didn't show IRBBB so I was concerned when it showed up this time. Again thank you

Hi.  An incomplete right bundle branch block can mean that there is mild underlying heart disease, so the moderate blockage may be causing this.  However, because it is the right bundle branch block, it may have no significance at all.  The left one is the one that is more worrisome.  Usually, if you go to a cardio with this, they will do a search for any underlying heart disease, usually non-invasive, and if all is well....you're okay.
