Can improved fitness reduce excercise PACs?

Ever since I have gotten out of shape I have noticed I will get occasional PACs during exercise (I always randomly got them at rest) What I have noticed though is after conditioning myself further I will no longer get PACs while performing that same activity? this has happened several times over the last years through getting in shape and out of shape again. I can’t find any research on the subject but does this make sense to anyone?

Absolutely normal and oredictable phenomenon. You should motice a decrease proportional to exercise activity.

The majority of ectopics occur during recovery/cool down after exercise or between activities.

In terms of in depth explanations and research, the simplest explanation has to do with distribution of nerves.

Ectopics are often driven by a particular irritable focus outside the normal places where impulses are generated.

In a healthy heart these "outside" areas have a lower concentration of the nerves that cause your heart rate to rise when you experience increases in hormones and neutransmitters associated with exercise, i.e. adrenaline.

When you exercise this means the "healthy" sources of conduction should increase at a faster rate than the "outside" sources, effectively suppressing them. The opposite is true at rest.

Thus the situation youre experiencing indicates a healthy distribution of innervation. "Unhealthy" distribution would be signalled by the opposite effect.
