More Energy

This is a funny situation in a way. I had an ablation 5 weeks ago, and since then I have much more energy. Before developing a-fib, I was diagnosed ADHD. Then with the a-fib and the heart meds, I slowed down a lot and no longer had to take meds for ADHD.
I'm finding that since the ablation, my ADHD is rising up again! I'm more energetic, get bored more easily, and have trouble focusing. I wake up every night with lots of energy. It's like a flash from the past.
And here I thought I was mellowing out in my old age. It was totally the a-fib!
So, it's a good thing. I just need to remember how to manage the ADHD again...

I fall asleep fine but then wake up early after about 6 hrs sleep. Before ablation, I needed 8-10 hours sleep a night. And I don't nap anymore very often. I used to take 1-2 hour naps regularly!
Sorry to hear you've had problems. I did the first 2 weeks, but they seem to be evening out more. State of mind is something under-discussed, and I felt knocked out by it the first few days.
Let's talk about it someday.
Take care!

How are you sleeping?  I had a hell of a time sleeping and had a slew of other symptoms for several months after my ablation for WPW. Not sure if the change in my blood flow, the drugs used during surgery, or after surgery, or my general state of mind contributed to the problem. I do not and never have had ADHD.
