PACs maybe with fatigue, weakness and can't feel pulse well.

Hi, all! Hope everyone is having a low palp day! Me? Not so much. So, I started a new job about 6 weeks ago and have, virtually, no insurance. That puts me on edge. Anyway, I realize that with all the different feelings I get with PVCs, PACs, tach, etc, the worst are the runs, (but they are, generally, short lived) and this: Light flutters, but feel extreme fatigue, and my pulse is really hard to find. Also, headachey and weak.  This is the one flare up that brings me back time and again, for reassurance. I know that it will go away, but I just don't get it. I will say that I feel like I'm getting more sleep than usual (love the feeling but wonder if it is not for me).
Anyone have this? I wish it would go away. New high-level job (high stress, of course) and am feeling the stress of my last two classes for my master's. Ugh.

Hi Rita,

I'm in the same boat! I'm in total agreement that the worst are the runs (mine are also short lived) But I'm currently struggling with the same symptoms today. I'm getting runs of PVC's, extreme fatigue and a little bit of light headedness. I have pretty high anxiety about my PVC's so it makes sense to me that they will increase with my anxiety, but it doesn't really help ease my mind. It's a very frustrating feeling to try and function the way you want to while dealing with these issues. But, they do pass, usually not without giving you hell first. I do find it interesting how quickly things can take a turn for the worst. I was feeling pretty "normal" the last few days.

I appreciate your response. I was in hell yesterday after two days of what I explained. At work and freaking out because I had to drive a highway to get to a facility that I've never been to, to do an in service that I've never talked about. It was strange. Nothing bothered me. Everything done without incident, mostly because I knew it had to be done...Today, I am almost totally back to normal. What the????
That's great news! It goes as quickly as it comes.
Aaaaaand...it's back.

Sorry you are having a flare up.  I know stress is a big trigger.  What are you doing to cope with it?  I have struggled with some intense anxiety my whole life and came to realize that a part of me was kind of expecting to mess things up so I took to giving myself a mantra when I am facing something that makes me nervous.  I will say something like, it's not a guarantee I will mess things up.  Don't assume you will mess this up.  It really helps to calm my fear response.  Maybe you can find a mantra that feels calming to you to help with the stress.  Anxiety, in a lot of ways, is a learned response.  But all learned responses take a lot of effort to turn around.  Force of habit kind of thing.  But the more you can actively try to calm your fears the less the stress will take over.

As for the pvcs I would try to avoid anything that might upset your stomach when you are facing stressful times.  Well avoid anything that upsets the stomach in general.  Acid reflux and indigestion are some of my biggest triggers so if I eat spicy foods lets say, I make sure I take an antacid or I will get the premature beats pretty bad.  It does seem to help.  Well hope you feel better soon and best of luck with the new job.

Thanks for the response. I have dealt with anxiety my whole life. I am aware that people feel we get PVCs from anxiety. I feel that I get anxiety from PVCs. For me, I can feel bad days coming before they start, but am not having anxiety, at the time. I do associate it with vitamin D deficiency because if I tan regularly (no comments, please, I am aware...lol), I do not get nearly as many. However, taking D supplements does not do it.

Its normal to get them more, specially if youre stressed out. Pvcs are rarely dangerous, so id just relax. If you feel too bad go to the ER, better safe than sorry! IIn my case its weird, Ive had every possible heart test come back negative. MRI, echocardiogram, stress echocardiogram, stress tests, EP study, and countless blood work and xrays. Still a holter monitor caught an episode of ventricular tachycardia. With seemingly no cause. Ive been terrified and paranoid all of my life about having heart problems. Since im a hypochondriac, it sucked really bad. Now that they actually caught something, im terrified and dont even leave my bed. Im only 23, no family history of cardiac problems or sudden death or anything. Have done sports all of my life, except this last year cause i stopped from the fear of dropping dead. I dont understand how i got the ventricular tachycardia. Instead of one skipped beat, or pvc, it was 22 in a row. Which is crazy. Im terrified.

Thanks for the response. Some people know that I'm a long time member of this board and have been through the ringer. After several months of normalcy, they will come out of the woodwork and I come to my safe place (here) to talk about what, where and why. I figure if we ever figure these out, it will be us! I will say that mag and Vit D have been helpful. And, fyi, I was a cardiac nurse for quite a while and know that people get a ton. I was in bigeminy for 6 weeks once and 9 weeks once. I'm still around. lol
