PMT or pacemaker syndrome??

ok i have looked and looked and asked everywhere and im back here again...i have a pacemaker for heart block. this is my 3rd one i have in now. it was put in about 4 months ago. i have had it adjusted several times because of symptoms like fast heart rate and fatigue..this last time i went in the tech showed me the readings that the bottom was beating first then the top& they turned something off and it was fixed but as soon as i leave the tech office and return home it is back and it seems to go on one day but not the next! what is going on here? anyone? is this PMT or pacemaker syndrome?

I can provide you what just happened to me, and I think i've had PMT (pacemaker mediated tachycardia) for years.    My pulse would consistently vary between about 60 beats per minute and 96.  The 96 part was very consistent when it got that hight.
THen i'd get a pvc, and it would jump back down to 60..or get a pvc and jump up to 96.   Just found out, cause they saw it at a pacemaker check that it was PMT.   And so they adjusted the pvarb setting to wait a little longer and also turned on the PMT function that was not turned on.  I guess if the pacemaker senses the PMT it can correct it.   I have had complete heart block for 6 years.  Or so we thought... also at a recent check they noticed that if they let the ventricle wait a little longer the block was complete. Increased from 250 milliseconds to 300.  Now i pace 40% of the time instead of 100%.  Moral of the story, if you think something is wrong, trust your body and keep going in till you are satisifed there is a good explanation.  Can't tell you how many times over the years i've been in pace maker checks and they just stumble across something that can be changed slightly and make things better.  Also, i guess body changes over time cuase needed adjustments.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
It seems like you have a very specific problem with your pacemaker settings or leads.  I would recommend discussing with your EP doctor to get more details of the adjustments you have received, or obtain records and get a second opinion from a bigger medical center.  There is very limited advice I could offer without seeing the actual device interrogation papers.
