Possible Heart Issue?

Hi there, I'm a 29 yr old female, in pretty athletic and fit shape... recently about 3 months ago, beginning of October, I experienced rapid breathing and almost like I couldn't catch my breath type of symptoms... I experienced similar symptoms, but even worse January '09... both times I went to the ER and got an EKG done and a chest x-ray... both times they have came back normal.  They even tested my blood for my heart enzymes to make sure I wasn't going to have a heart attack.  Still til this day I have short rapid breathing (nothing that wakes me up at night), but I always feel dizzy... I just worked out yesterday an while I was on a stationary bike it almost felt like I was going to faint... I almost stopped working out because of this, but decided to keep going... by the time I got home, I was still feeling like I was dizzy and just wanted to fall over... I haven't actually fainted, but have kept these dizzy spells/head rushes, etc. I don't know if I should keep seeing doctors to have them keep doing all these tests on me when they keep coming back normal? I've gotten also numerous blood tests for diabetes, glucose, thyroid, etc. and they have all came back normal... I've also tried anxiety pills possibly thinking its that, but those haven't really helped... Sometimes I do feel like I have abnormal heart palpitations, but during the EKG which was just done in October, everything was fine... any ideas??

Thanks cindy707 for the reply back... unfortunately I had my electrolytes as well as my blood sugar levels tested and they all came back fine :( Can I go to a family practitioner for this holter monitor or would this be specifically from the heart specialist doctor? I think wearing for 24 hours a day for a couple of days might not be a bad idea...

Since you are at the gym it could be a number of things that you are experiencing and the first thing that pops in my mind is that your electrolyte levels are off.  Obviously while we are at the gym or doing anything that requires physical activity we have to make sure that we hydrate throughout the workout no just at the beginning and end.  Alot of people make this mistake and personally i think its more than just water we need to drink but a drink w. electrolytes added to it to replace the salt content our bodies are losing while we work out.  The second thing that pops into my mind is your sugar levels.  If we are out of what and not eatting properly and working out obviously our bodies reek havoc on us.  What do they say....fruit in the morning.....carbs at nite for a perfect balance.  The only other thing i can think of is if your heart tests came back neg. put you are feeling like you are having palps you can ask your doc to put you on a holter monitor that you wear 24 hours a day for a couple of days to try to catch that elusive little bugger and the doc can  determine what it is you are feeling.  Remember if you feel you're going to faint stop what you are doing and bend over and put your head between your knees until the moment passes and it will.......good luck.....there are alot of people on this site who work out and i'm sure they offer up some pretty sound advise..........
