Hi,I am having Pre Hypertension and am obese too.Yesterday while checking my BP machine i saw last two reading having the Irregular Heart Beat Symbol.I was scared ,The readings were taken yesterday itself just before checking.I began checking frantically and tested 10 times ,No such symbol.BP was in 130-80 range and pulse in 80-85 range.Across the readings. Only these two readings which had symbol were in 124-90 ,range with pulse in 75.I am scared like hell.kindly share your information on the same.

These random beats are usually not a concern. It is common for people to have them and be frightened by them when they don't need to be.

Red flags to watch for include dizziness, chest pain, and  sudden changes. Your age (28 according to your profile) is working in your favor, but you may want to consider being proactive about your weight and eating habits. The sooner a person learns to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle (low cholesterol and saturated fat, and more exercise) the better...

No one can say for sure without it being recorded and looked at but it sounds like you may have had some ectopic beats.  Ones that happen in the ventricles can cause a pause in the beat that is detected by the bp machine.  Mine will register if I have more than 2 of them in the testing period.  They are very benign in an otherwise healthy heart.  And considering you were unable to reproduce the issue on further testing then they sound isolated.  A lot of people get these extra beats and they are typically looked at as harmless.  They really are just an extra beat thrown in here or there and they only become worrisome if they are accompanied by heart damage from a heart attack or if they number over 20,000 a day.  You do not sound like you are in this category but you may want to bring up what you detected with your doctor and have them just take a look at your heart.  The peace of mind knowing your heart is otherwise fine can help put your mind at ease about having these extra beats.  So try to not stress.  Most people will have some sort of blips with their heart during their lifetime.  Take care.
