Heart start beatin fast

I'm 30 years old and have always exercise regularly. I started going back to the gym like a month ago after a 6 month break. Today after I finished the first session lifting weights, just when I was about to start the next session, my heart started beating really really fast. I didn't feel dizzy, pain  or anything and it went back to normal pace after like 5 min.
I didn't continue doing exercise.
Is this something I should worry about or is it normal?

Hi i read your post too......i agree with Frank on this i think the indicator is if it happens again whether you are at the gym or not it may be wise to make an appt. with your family doctor just so he/she can take a listen and make sure that everything sounds fine with them and that this is not the start of something....good luck

I think you should just be aware of it and start your return to exercise, especially weight lifting, more slowly.  If your heart races in spite of doing a light workout, it could be a good idea to have it checked.

It would be helpful to know what your consider real fast.  For example for a person under 40 years old, a HR of 130 is just warming up, but a HR of 200 is likely too fast.
