I am going to take a shot at this one i think you may mean an ablation for PAC's and that basically means that your issues are coming from areas other then the sinus node which is good believe me.  Many of us on this site have had ablations including myself and one of the things that they are most successful at is atrial fibrillation and pac's among other things.  I agree wholeheartedly w. Jerry that because of your age you should consider going for it and he is very right..an ablation is a cure.  It is a no brainer procedure that in most cases you go home a couple of hours after the procedure.  I had mine done for some pretty heavy issues a couple of years ago and got my life back/  You will kick yourself after the procedure if you choose it and wonder why you didn't do it sooner like most of us.  It is not what most people believe is heart surgery....they go in from the groin area and zap out the bad areas that are causing your arrythmias and as long as the doc says you are in the 70% or higher range for success i would seriously consider it.  And yes it cured my arrhytmias completely and if i knew then what i know now i would have had it done alot sooner than i did...its no way to live having to deal w. the episodes when there is a cure for it that is so easy...good luck w. your decision.

I should have said that it's to cure an arrhythmia, I been having palpitations for years now but gotten worse with time they happen more frequently. The cardiologist suggested I have this done to solve the problem ones and for all I was just curious to know from others who have had the same procedure done if it really cured their arrhythmia. Thank you for replying to my post.

I have no idea what a PACT ablation is.  I do know the word ablation, it is the PACT part that leaves me blank.. obviously I am not the person you have asked to help. But, given you post in now a day old an no responses have come in I post this in the hope a little more information from you will help someone relate.  More time on the active page 1 will also help.

Ablation is a procedure that when it works is a cure, not a symptom treatment.  At your young age you should go for a cure.... not a life time of medications.
