drug related heart palpitations

I am in college and was given a bad drug at a party two weeks ago, I'm only 19 and I think I had my first heart palpitations that night, I couldnt breath, chest pains, my heart was beating so fast that it was hurting and dizziness. It felt like I was also having an anxiety attack. I thought that was just a one time thing from making the mistake of taking this drug, but ever since I have been getting mild symptoms throughout the day and when I am really hung over the symptoms are unbearable, it feels like im dying. I was hungover yesterday and it was so bad that I thought I thought that I was about to have a heart attack and die so I went to the emergency room- all of the test results came up perfectly normal, no drugs in my system and my x-rays looked great, the doctors almost made me feel stupid for being so worried and coming in. What is going on, or what is the most likey cause so I can prevent this aweful feeling? Ive read that this could be caused by gastrointestinal problems, which is also interesting because whenever i feel the symptoms it feels like I need to burp, which is unusual for me, so maybe it is a dietary problem. I have also heard that it could be from low potassium levels (maybe the result of my hangovers) and I have been reading that it could be from hormone imbalances (maybe the result of the plan B I had to take recently and I messed up my birthcontrol this month). What should I do?

Good advice,

Your profile lists you as a 26 year old female, which is it?  In either case you should know better than mess with drugs, especially if 26.

As is said by many who are now old:  "if I knew I was going to live so long I'd taken better care of my body"... the body you have is the one you get.  Look at the news if you want proof that drugs, especially drugs and alcohol (even prescription drugs) are deadly.

Take care of yourself, and get checked by your doctor.

Did they do an ekg on you?  If you continue to have symptoms go see your doctor to make sure all is good.  And while you are there get your stomach issues addressed as well.  Problems with the stomach can cause heart symptoms.  When the vagus nerve gets irritated it sends signals to the heart causing it to act up.  If you drank something that irritates the stomach you can definitely be feeling poorly from it.  So make sure you drink lots of water, stay away from alcohol and drugs especially.  One bad drug can end it all.  You don't need alcohol to have fun.  It's all in your mind.  There are some people who just can't tolerate it well.  My body was never really able to handle alcohol well.  Some just can't   So watch what you are putting into your body and go see your doctor if taking these measures doesn't clear up your symptoms.  Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
