Cardizem and anxiety meds both help heart palps for me. The best thing for long term improvement is very healthy diet, and exercise imo. I don't know anything about the bicuspid valve issue but your doc should certainly be able to answer that one .

In a structurally normal heart pvcs and pacs are not considered dangerous because the heart can tolerate them well and it is not likely you will fall into a fatal rhythm.  That doesn't make them any easier to deal with if you have them badly but the less you stress about them the less they will bother you.  Your stomach may be a big culprit.  Try taking some antacids after you eat and see if it helps lessen the amount of ectopics you get.  As well try to eat smaller meals.  Exercising may help you tolerate them more but I do notice if I push myself too hard (straining myself) it can make them worse but exercise is always good to help your heart deal better with anything that is going on.  Just watch pushing too hard.  Then easier said then done but do try and work on your stress.  Stress is a big contributor as well.

In any event, rather than think of them as dangerous beats just try to think of them as extra beats.  They really are just some extra beats popping in for who knows what reason but they are not dangerous to you.  The more you focus on them the more you will notice them.  So just do your best to not let them take over your life.  They don't deserve all your attention.  Your heart is a very strong resilient muscle that can handle a lot and keep on ticking quite well.  Trust your heart and your doctors and just do your best to live a heart healthy lifestyle and you may never need worry about your heart.  One last thing I will mention is that though bp meds help some people they actually make things worse for others.  If you ever notice an increase in palps after a change in meds inform your doctors and they can try adjusting the dose or try a different med.  Best of luck getting a handle on these and keep us posted on how you are.

Thank you for your reply! All my tests have come back with good results and the bicuspid valve is operating good. I am going to be asking a lot more questions this March when I see the card. doc again. They seem to make it all so nonchalant like this is no biggy. But these pvcs cannot be any worse!! So little is known as to the cause, it drives me crazy! I have started potassium, magnesium, fish oil and vit. D. My family doc just did a work up and all is perfect, even my thyroid. I was so hoping she would find something..just to be able to say THAT'S IT!!  But no such luck. Also have a apt scheduled for an electro-card doc but not until April :( I guess its the waiting game for me right now. Thank you all for your support!

A bicuspid aortic valve may or may not cause trouble.  It depends on what your stress test and cardiac echo show.  Have you had those done, and if so, what were the results?

You need to know if the valve is opening and shutting well.  If it is, then it is less likely to be a factor in PVCs.  It is leaky and you are getting much back flow ("regurgitation"), then it could be playing a role.

Talk to your doc.
