reasons for this

hi,

i have a question., i am 34yrs fem and i hve been doing moderate exercise for 30-40mins 5 times a week for
the past 5-6months. i was given a wrist pulse watch as a present. i used it and it troubled me.

during my fast walk it read 53!!! . cld it be it?? i checked it again later and it was 85 still walking fast.

the 2nd time i put my finger in my neck and the pulse seemed fast to me. but if indeed it
went down to 53 what could it mean ?? cld it be dehydration what?

anyhow in the end i took it when i stopped it showed 146 and 1 min later it was 93.

my usual resting ranges from 58 to 72.

but i do have mpv with slight regurg so i'm a little worried.that was 2 days later .

it hasn't happened again but what could be the cause if indeed that happened ?

thanks in advance.

I would check your heart rate manually and compare it to the watch, like Cindy said those watches are not always accurate.  If your pulse felt fast then I am sure the watch is off.     Congrats on getting into shape.  Thats great.

What a lucky girl you are.....this is one of those times i can honestly say i wish i were you. Bear in mind pro athletes and people that are in fantastic shape have an incredibly low pulse rate....Lance Armstrongs pulse rate is in the upper 30's!!!!!!  Your pulse rate is supposed to rocket up at the end of your work out or run and as your body cools it will drop in a series of patterns and groupings until you are back within your normal limits for your own body.  You cannot compare your stats with others....like fingerprints everyones rates are different and follow a different grouping.  I know alot medically speaking about wrist pulse watchs and wrist B/P monitors and number one they are not the most accurate pieces of equipment out there and have ALOT of error to them and anything can toss off a false read with them.  Dehydration has everything to do w. the heart but in your case this i believe is different.  25% of all humans have MVP ...i am 55 (at least until my birthday next Tues) and have had it for over 30 years w. no problem as many don't have any issues or symtoms in their lifetime.  Relax....enjoy the gift you were given...the only red flag to me that would be tossed is if you felt dizzy, fainted, irregular rate, etc.  I think you are great to go so congrats to you my friend.....
