During times of high and prolonged stress (over days or weeks) my SVT's are usually calm. As soon as the stress level stops you can bet your bottom $ I will get an attack. This happens to migraine sufferers too I have heard. Funny aint it? (funny perculiar that is) The bloody things ( it's OK to use that word if you're an Aussie - it's part of our langauge) have a mind of their own.
I also wanted to let you know I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. One day at a time...
Enjoy peds!! See what I mean? No PVCs on your first day in Peds!! They should have been zinging you left and right....nothing! Oy vey....
Have a great weekend!
Awww....you're so sweet! I had a good day. My first day with peds. I had 13 pediatric cases ranging from 6 mth old twins to 17 year olds. It wasn't bad at all. And guess what? No PVCs! I think you may be right about them being like teenagers! heheheheeh
I hear ya....There have been times that my heart should have been turning inside out...nada! Other times, I'm reading a book, watching TV, or grocery shopping and SLAM!! WHAT is THAT about?
I've got it! PVC's are like teenagers, you love 'em cause they're part of you, but you just can't figure them out : ) That's it!!
Hope it's a great day! Oh, and thanks for being one of the people we all count on....we love our nurses!

Absolutely. BUT, sometimes they come during. USUALLY, they are calm during the event and when my body is winding down they start up. My mother passed away on the 24th of June. Horrible things happened then and for the following week. The heart was fine. When I started to calm down a bit, they started to get worked up. This is just how they are, how they've always been. The stress hormones can cause them, or perhaps when they leave???
I notice that my palpatations are directly correlated with times of anxiety and/or stress. I have noticed few other trigers that are consistent (except alcohol and sodium).
There were times I was under stress and my PVCs were calm. Other times, I was under stress and they would get worse. No rhyme or reason. That's the nature of this beast...UGH!
