My pvc occurs almost exactly an hour after falling asleep as best that i can tell. Had 6 or so pvc (starting in 2011) events and went to a cardiiologist. Passed the stress test with flying colors, but the doc said my events could be result of sleep apnea. Became a sleep apnea patient 2 years ago, and did not have any pvcs until June of 2015. I then had two pvcs, about a week apart, while wearing my mask. Back to the cardiologist. My loop recorder he implanted (continuous EKG reading) in my chest shows "noise" during the pvcs such that he can't read the EKG. My cardiologist considers this noise to be a seizure. He sent me to a neurologist. Neurologist says you can't have pain in chest (during my pvc), has told me to go see gastroenterologist. I will update this thread later this week
tnx so much guys.i really appreciate. Now i think i have to get serious, before it gets worse.
I appreciate.
I know what I forgot to add; you could always ask Dr. Steven Park in the sleep disorder section and see if from your description he may know what's going on - he's a great doctor and helped me with a few things.
I was surprised I was 1 point from being in the severe OSA category and my oxygen went down to 73% at night which is extremely dangerous. After my ablation it improved alot but I've never used a CPAP or other device.
OSA can be trickey and I think mine comes and goes where I go through lighter episodes then for whatever reason I have severe episodes.
It's worth checking out just to make sure you don't have it.
OSA is a much underrated killer. It can lead to enlargement of the heart, and circulatory problems, arrhythmia, and worse case...stroke. I had it really bad for several years. My saintly wife persuaded me to get a sleep study done after living with my horrific snoring and watching me sit up in the middle of the night gasping for breath. I'll spare you the details, but I had a very, very severe case. I got on CPAP, and immediately started to feel better. If you're being awakened gasping or snorting for a deep breath, and feel lethargic and sleepy during the day, check with you GP, and arrange for a sleep study. It restarted my life and I have no doubt probably saved it.
ok.thanx a lot.i've not heard reports of snoring, and if its OSA,m just curious, shouldnt it be like regularly?cos this has no pattern.i can stay 3mths with no such experience, then at times it can occur up to 3x a wk.
i think i may just go for a sleep study.
thanx.
I agree with Tom, sounds like OSA but you don't have to snore to have it - I didn't snore when I was first dx so I really didn't think I would have it.
a simple sleep study will be able to tell and see how mild or severe it is if that's what you do have =)
Does your bed partner report any snoring from you? You could have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Google it for more info.
