Chronic active hepatitis B

I was diagnosed of chronic Hep B in 2016 but I was an inactive carrier. It reactivated this year with a very high veral load of 170,000,000iu/ml. I started tenofovir last month and i was told it causes bone loss in long term use. Please how long would does start to cause the bone loss and how often do I have to check my bone density?? Thank you.
