Chronic hep b

Hi, I am 26 year old male from India. I am a finance professional. Last year, I was diagnosed with chronic hep b. My parents are behind me to get married. They know that I am positive to hep b still they push me for marriage as they  think that our society will talk nonsense about me if I don't get married. I know they are correct considering the nature of Indian society. I don't want to waste anybody's life because of me.

Sharing here so i can feel little rekac as I cant share it with anybody.

Please share your input.

Hi, the wisdom here is to be open to your wife to be about your hbv infection. Your prospective wife and life partner should know about your hbv status, she must also get tested for all STDs like hbv, hiv, hcv, etc, and she needs all the counseling information about these diseases. If she agrees to marry you, after knowing about your hbv, then she must be vaccinated against hbv; and you must not have unprotected sex with her until she gets immunity against hbv.
You should not fall to the pressure of the society or your parents about marriage; keep your own independent understanding of the issue, and never put someone in the face of danger because of any pressures.

dont know hbv programme in india but i guess it is same as in europe, maybe just later in the years, so according to age you can not even infect anybody even if you want to

just put things in the real world  as they really are

if anybody check most have or have had hbv in india, before vaccination hbv was like flu in asia as well as italy and mediterranean area plus now with the antivirals is not even possible to infect unless injecting blood directly, when hbvdna is und transmission is rare between marriage too and with vaccine is like water

the problem is not hbv but ignorance in some countries and spread is impossible now because anybody is vaccinated, i dont know coverage in asia but in europe is total

I am with my husband for 14 years. He didn't freak out when I found out I have HBV. There is a vaccine for your partner and you can still have kids...you just need to get informed better if you want the things above. But marry because you want to do so, not for society or parents.

Calm down catar ,,,,
Just make sure that the partner is vaccinated and is having hbs-ab  positive.
Then no problem for her and your to be kids .
Its always better to start a relationship with truth.

May you find peace soon .
All the best .
Please share your status ( results/treatment)

But remember God has plans for all, just bc you have hbv doesn't mean you cannot get married and have kids.  Be honest with yourself and others you date and one day you ll find happiness.

stop thinking about society and start thinking about you, hbv has nothing to do with this
