Indeterminate HbsAb. What does this mean?

Hi Forum members. I have chronic hep B(have it since birth). My HBV has always been low but it spiked to 120,000 iu/ml 9 months ago and my doctor started me on Entecavir 0.5 mg. I had tests done at 6 months and 9 months since I started entecavir. During my last test my HbsAB turned out to be indeterminate and HbsAg is still positive. HBVDNA undetected at 6th month and 9th month. My HbsAb has always been negative but for the first time in my life it resulted as indeterminate. Does this mean I'm sercovonverting? My next visit again is in 3 months. Any thoughts on the indeterminate HbsAb result?

Thanks

What exactly does intermediate level of hbsab mean? You should post the quantitative hbsab level as well as your hbsag level so that we call tell more. Maybe you are on the way of clearing the virus.

Unfortunately my doctor has never ordered a quantitative test so far. Its always been qualitative. So I don't have the levels at this point. I will ask my doctor to do quantitative tests next time.
