hepatitis B and having a child

if I''m in treatment with entecavir....could anyone please tell me if i want to have a child (I''m male) how long should i interupt the treatment with entecavir to be safe in having a baby?

Yes, Viread is considered to be safe for women during pregnancy. What I like to know is whether it is also okay for men to take Viread when they also want to father a child.

I use Viread while pregnant. My new born child looks healthy. Research says Viread is category B drug.

I am also very interested to know whether a male on antiviral treatment can father a child. A search on the Internet fails to give any information. Certainly the label information for Entercavir does not say it is contraindicated for males who want to father a child. Do let us know if you find an answer.
