HBV DNA vs HbsAb

I'm a HBV carrier without any medication for many years, and recently my HBV DNA PCR test became undetectable, after 6 months I did the test again and still undetectable, and the HbsAb was negative. My family doctor said the DNA test is more accurate than the HbsAg test, and I can take the vaccine now. However since there was no HbsAg test, I doubt if I'm healed or not. I just want to double check here, because for years I use the HbsAg to determine my HBV status. Thank you very much!
