Anyone in U.S. gotten HBsAg quantitative titer?

The HBsAg titer does not seem to be a common test that doctors in the US is giving, although from what I've read on this forum it seems to be an important indicator to assay for the effectiveness of treatments etc.  I am frustrated by the seeming lack of knowledge or progressive thinking by the health care system here regarding HBV.  Anyone in the US had success getting their doctors to do this test?  Mine wouldn't even let me do the genotyping test.  I wish I could change doctors but I have very poor health insurance coverage and am limited in the doctors I can choose.

you might try send the blood sample to some lab outside US, the test should not be expensive at all

it looks like in US they want you on antivirals for life and not check how to eradicate hbsagwhich is equal to eradicate hbv
as you can easily understand it makes no sense to cure hbv without checking if therapy is lowering it

the test hbvdna but that's useless for eradication, hbvdna is also very expensive while hbsg quant is extremely cheap, about 7euro in italy or free by health care (maybe 50euro in some labs, not more)
