Hepatitis B

3 years ago, these were my results:

Hepatitis B Core Total Antibody - POSITIVE
Hepatitis B Surface Antibody - 54
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen - NEGATIVE
Hepatitis B Virus DNA Load - NOT DETECTED

Based on the results, I was told that I had Hepatitis B and have recovered from it.
However, I retook the test again this year, and these were the results:

Hepatitis B Core Total Antibody - NEGATIVE
Hepatitis B Surface Antibody - 25
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen - NEGATIVE
Hepatitis B Virus DNA Load - NOT DETECTED

Why did my Hepatitis B Core Total Antibody result changed from POSITIVE to NEGATIVE? Was it a false positive and does this mean that I did not contract Hepatitis B before?

Yes, it could be a false positive, but equally, the HBcAb can wane over time.

I thought it can't be possible that hbcab can revert to negative overtime?
