this might be a dumb ?...

hi, so ive only had one sexual partner, but he's had more than one, anyways, a while back i was sent to the er due to pain everywhere when i moved, and had trouble breathing, they did tests on my, and said it was viral, and they believed it to be hep c. more tests i did, hep came back negative, but pos for mono. a few weeks ago i had another appt and i was shown pos for hep b although i had a vacination for it in 2000. i did another blood test and they said ive "been exposed to hep b, but it currently isnt active in me but to watch for symptoms". so right now im trying to figure out, why could i have been exposed to it, if i and my previous partner have been vacinated, and since i guess its in me now, would this make me a carrier?
thanks.

Did you test for hep b before taking the vaccine and did you do any titer test to know if you were successfully immune?
See a hepatologist.

If you have positive HBsAg by two tests 6 months apart, then you have chronic Hep B.  How did you get it?  Not sure.
