Just got latest report..regulars please help!

For a carrier of hbv (got it from mother). Heres the latest report. Kindly interpret.

HBSAG - NEGATIVE

Total protein - 72 g/l (60-87)
Albumin - 44 g/l (39-49)
Globulin - 28 g/l (23-35)
A/G ratio - 1.57 (1.1-2.2)

*Bilirubin total - 4 umol/l (3.42-20.52)*
*Bilirubin direct - 3 umol/l (0-8.55)*

**Bilirubin indirect - 1 umol/l (1.71-17.1)**

ALT - 8 u/l (0-34)
SGOT (AST) - 16 u/l (0-31)
Alkaline phosphatase - 47 u/l (35-105)
*Gamma GT (GGT) - 11 u/l (9-36)*

Please assist me with what you think of this. Is there anything wrong (eg. bilirubin is lower then range)? if yes why, what could it be and what should be done?

If you are HBsAg Negative, you are NOT an Inactive Carrier and you are not a Carrier of Virus at all. You are cured.

You may have been a carrier in the past but it seems like your body clearned HBsAG. It's closest state as having never contracted the virus.

simple and best advice would be get your all tests done again and consult the results of these tests to a new doctor

Guys i know youve adviced me to take it lightly but i just asked a family member why i have been told by my doc i am a carrier even though my hbsag is negative and they said that in the report from my initial test which i did about 3 years ago it showed that i was a carrier..so i asked what test proved that i was carrier but they arent sure atm. What test would have been positive back then to show the doctor im a carrier as my hbsag is negative at the moment? Also, i have never been on any medication.
The more opinions i can get the better.

i have always been told by my hep b doctor i am an inactive carrier and that i have to do tests every year for the rest of my life as it may become active. so they say i am a "carrier" and so is one of my sister as we both got it from our mother and my other sister is currently active. but yes my hbsag is negative. pls help

if your hbsag is negative than you dont have the virus or if you seroconverted that can be a scenario.

get your anti hbs test done and also take another opinion from some good hepatologist or gastro ...you are from which country?

if someone was previously hbsag +ve and later on converted to hbsag -ve this is called seroconversion

I think in this case...if his/her doctor keep saying that he/she is inactive carrier, most probably the HBeAg is Negative instead of HBsAg. He/she mush have confused between HBsAg & HBeAg.  Seroconversion of Hep B occurs when  people infected with the HBeAg-positive form of the virus develop antibodies against the 'e' antigen. The seroconverted disease state is referred to as the 'inactive HBV carrier state' when HBeAg has been cleared, anti-HBe is present and HBV DNA is undetectable or less than 2000 IU/ml.

@Rohan if i have seroconverted to hbsag negative does that mean i no longer have the virus and will never get active again? Does that mean i dont have any hbv dna or viral load as well? So the yearly tests are just a precaution?

@2nd commenter - i am not mistaken. It is my hbsag which is negative. I do not know about my viral load. With hbsag negative can i have any viral load at all? Im not sure about my hbeag either. But my hbsag is definitely negative. Wt does this mean??

if you have seroconverted to hbsag -ve it is equivalent to not having virus  still some ccdna reserviors remain in the body but chill it means you don’t have virus anymore.it is good to have checkup once in a year after seroconverting. It can relapse if you are on immune suppresing drugs.

Although to get more assurance
you can have below test:
hbvdna quantitative - to check the quantity of virus if there
hbeag
anti-hbs ...for antibodies against virus if it is more than 10iu/ml, you are immune

@rohan i am not on any drugs. Would i have any viral load with hbsag negative?

Guys am i sexually infectious? Wt should i expect in the future in regard to my hep b? Wt stage am i in right now? Im really confused with a negative hbsag.

Do i need viral load/hbv dna and hbeag tests? I know i am not immune and can not be immunised as i already have it so no point of hbsab right? Is hbsab and hbeab the same thing? Guys please help me identify my current state..or what other tests i need.

it is your anxiety that is getting you in trouble if your hbsag negative than no need to worry .....you do not have hepatitis b just chill and relax.
Just for your satisfaction i made a reference to those tests.

If your HBsAg is negative, as what rohan1992 said, you have nothing to worry about as your are not a Hep B carrier. Thus, your are not infectious at all! You can get married and if you already married, protection is not necessary. You may have your own children without passing the virus to your spouse or children. Back to your viral load, if your HBsAg is negative, your viral load/HBV DNA is at the same time Not Detected.

I WANT to ask..in this state youve outlined is the HBSAG positive or negative?

Also can there be seroconversion from hbsag+ to hbsag-..or seroconversion is only from hbeag to anti HBe (and in this situation is hbsag + or -?

If your HBeAg is negative and developed anti- HBe, therefore you are inactive carrier. In this state your HBsAg not necessarily negative too. However, if your HBsAg is negative, you are no longer called inactive carrier. It means you have cleared the HBV from your body. If you have cleared your virus from your body (HBsAg negative), if you get tested for your HBV DNA, confirm negative or not detected.

Nope, it looks normal. Everything is normal. Both Bilirubin are between the normal range. In fact you are not a HBV carrier. HBsAg is the indicator if you are currently infected with the virus. But thank God you are not. Please also check your HBsAb level. If less than 10 mIU/mL, you are not protected therefore you must take the 3 series of the vaccine.

Bilirubin indirect isnt within the normal range..

Also, i am a inactive carrier as i got it from my mother. So have to do these tests every year. So i may not be currently infected but i am a inactive carrier..right?

There is no such thing as inactive carrier if your HBsAg is not detected/Non-Reactive/Negative. Most people think that a child would definitely get infected from an infected mother but it is actually not necessary (The chances of getting the virus is 10%-30%) if the infected mother has gone through some procedure or medical attention from the Doctors prior pregnancy. Back to your Bilirubin indirect which I have overlooked earlier. I think nothing much to worry about as the difference is not so significant but please get a professional advice from  the specialist. However both your Bilirubin total and Bilirubin direct are in normal range.

All good no need to worry...lower bilrubin does not mean anything bad ....its just the waste product lower it is better is the liver health
