Hi my sisters partner of 10 years has just been diagnosed hep b positive. My sisters children have now started an accelerated hbv vaccine course and will get antibodies checked once completed. We are terrified he may have already unknowingly passed it on to children through household contact. So just after a bit of advice , not looking for scaremongering or anything like that , we are scared enough!, just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar and what the outcome was etc ... we have read soo many horror stories online...their Dr doesnt seem to know a lot about the disease either and keeps mixing it up with Hcv. Dr said very low risk to children but that seems to be contradicted online. Oh my sister is already vaccinated as she works in healthcare.
