Sexual Exposure

I will make this question short and to the point. I was anally raped by two males 12 weeks ago. I was vaccinated for Hep B when I was younger (age 10 or 8) could I still catch it? I am currently in my early 20's.  My doc asked if i was vaccinated for it and I said yes....so she seemed not to care to much to test or recommend testing. Dont' worry I have been going through a wide variety of other STD tests and HIV screening since the event. And mental health counselling. I just want to make myself feel a little better between now and the tests at 6 months. I would like to know if it is possible highly or unlikely.
Thanx for the replys.

Update:

Just thought I would let everyone know that I got tested for HBV and the test came back that I am immune.  The vaccination must have took hold and kept me safe. This is what the doc said. Anyhow thank you for all your replys and support. God Bless.

Anything is possible. I would have the family doctor run some routine blood tests. Keep asking questions to anyone you can hold still because some doctors do things different. You are in my prayers.

it all depends on hbsab titer after you were vaccineted, there is a small percentage of non responders.
if you were raped very recently you are on time anyway, you must take immune globulins as soo as possible and another dose of vaccine
talk to a doctor so they will do this very fast, in case it is too late just make an hbsag and an hbsab test, make them both because even if you are vaccineted hbsag can get positive for a short time, the most important thing is hbsab titer

I suggest you get a blood test just to check. I was vaccinated at a young age so I never thought I'd catch it but I did, I wouldn't say it's 100% as I didn't work for me. But once you get a blood test you will know and will feel a lot better about it. I'm sorry you had to go through that experience.. Wish you all the best.

Thank You for your imputs. Makes me feel better to know more information. I don't know what I would do will out other peoples support and counseling, because its really hard to tell someone you know that you have been raped. Specially being a male. I never thought it could happen until it did. I am also a Christian and pray everyday for my safety and health...as well as the forgiveness of my attackers.

I was vaccinated for hep B and they never told me I would need a booster so I believe you're ok on that score.  I have been raped also. It helped me to talk with a counselor.  As a Christian it was hard but I prayed for them. Worse things happened to them than I could have had a hit man do.  I'm sorry that you were terrorized.

if you were vaccinated it is absolutely impossible to get cronic hbv, you are 100% protected

the only chance would be if you didn't respond to vaccine but this is very unlikely, if you want to be absolutely sure just make hbsab test and check its positivity
