In our case vit d receptors response
Hi Stef2011... Thank you for your response. By the way, what is intact parathormone? What does that measure?
Hi Stef2011... Thank you for your response. By the way, what is intact parathormone? What does that measure?
start vit d, stop dairies in your diet (they re not healthy anyway), drink 2.5l of water daily (low calcium water 10mg/ml max).
then test vitd25oh, serum calcium and intact parathormone once after 1 month supplements and then every 3 month.start with 10.000iu of d3 daily
there is no dose because any of us has different kinetics, especially those with autoimmune or chronic diseases.
1) is this safe for baby?
depends on blood levels of vitd25oh, intact pth and calcium.anyway 5000iu is not high and 6000iu daily is the dose for pregnancy (note most studies on vit d dose has been found null recently, the ones with low doses in particular)
2) I haven't done blood test for my vit25(oh) ... Should I wait til this test is done before I start taking this supplement?
no because we can t have high levels of vit d, we are all deficient
3) what would be possible side effects of any?
if you take millions iu of vit d daily for 6 months and have a diet with dairies, calcium will rise and may damage kidneys....but taking millions per day is impossible.
