What's the cure for Hepa B?

I am 25 yrs. old and I knew last June 2010 that I am positive to hepa B. Please explain to me the following lab test result: HBeAg 683.7 (positive), Anti-HBe 5.46 (negative). My doctor didn't gave me any medicine or any medication as of now. He just adviced to have lab tests once a year and ultrasound check up every after five years. What's the cure for hepa B?

Stefano is right, you should check out more doctors. I visited 4 gi docs before finding a good one, you can compare and see which doc makes more sense, b/c hep b will be with you for a Long long time. You also needs more testing to determine how bad are your hep b. Don't waste your money on drugs that's not approved for hepb it could make it worst or does nothing for you.   There are alot of supports in this forum post your full report and ppl will be able to help you if you have questions. Good luck and hope eveything will turn out fine for you.

ursofalk
it has nothing to do with hbv it is for biliary problems

livolin
kind of spam drug without any ral effect, it is meant to lessen liver damage, the only studies that prove fibrosis regression are with bluberries, cofee, melatonin while livolin absolutely useless
since you don t even know if you have fibrosis you are wasting money or making damage at most with those 2 useless drugs.pharmacies are full of these useless drugs like livolin and unfortunately they are more than th real drugs with proven studies

Hello guys! Thanks for the advices. This is already my second doctor. My first doctor have not gave me also any medication, vitamins, etc.

My first doctor's advice: lab tests every after 3 months, just for monitoring.
My second doctor's advice: lab tests once a year and ultrasound every after five years.

Yesterday, i read the messages and the forum and i'm curious on the medicine they took such as ursofalk and livolin. I bought ursofalk yesterday (just 6 capsules) and it's just over the counter drug. i wanted to try it. i wanted to have some development on my hepa lab tests later on.

doctor is very ignorant, ultrasound every 6 months is effective for liver cancer prevention (if it develops after 6 months it cannot be cured)

you are missing all the test to understand how severe is your hbv and if you have any liver damage, ultrasound can only detect cancer nothing else, check for a good liver specialist.

check also medhelp health pages so that you know if doctor is ignorant or good, also be ware that only interferon, tenofovir and entecavir are approved all other drugs make virus mutations

if you paid the other doctor i'd ask money back since he didn t check anything and by this might have done a nig damage to you if your hepatitis is serious, stupid ignorant doctors must not have a change to get away without paying for their mistakes

I think you must have ALT also to determine if there is an inflammation of your liver.
