Great news! Keep doing what you're doing.
Anna.
1b here too. treating acutely though. UND at 4 weeks.
Aloha and a huge CONGRATS!!! r4.
I know it's been awhile since I posted, I actually only open this forum a few times a month and when I do I always look for a good word from you and today was the day it came. That's excellent news, very glad to hear it. Is there anyone else on this forum going through the Roche Induction trial?
I'm still plugging away with tx myself. This friday will be shot #36. I'm still undetect since week 8 and all my blood work has been coming back normal (healthy) since then as well. I too am probably getting the big dose. My docs have been telling me others here in Hawaii in this trial are showing similar results. So good news all around.
Sx have been very minimal, mostly slight fatigue and irritability. There are a few days here and there that just suck so I just hibernate at home and ride it out the best I can knowing that it won't last forever. Gets easier to do so as time goes on.
Only 12 more wks to go and believe me I am counting down the days. Once I find out what group I was in I will let you all know.
Keep up the good work, the positive attitude and the posts r4.
Peace.
Tom
Congrats. I too am a 1b which is the hardest to tx.
Do you know if you were undetectable BEFORE week 12? New data show wek 4 RVR as very beneficial to 1b's.
Keep up the good work!
Mike
Very Good News. Great feeling when you have UND at 12 weeks, gives you what you need to continue. I am white female 1b 48wks tx was UND 12 weeks. Was UND at 6 mo post and am now 11 post, next month 1 year test. You have a great start with tx, some days may get real rough, just stick them out if you can, they will pass.
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL NEWS
Have a great day,
Cajun
Undetectable is what we like to hear!!
22 mil is about the vial load I started with, as well. While I was not in a trial this time, my doc did double dose me at 360 for 12 weeks, and it seemed to make a big difference in the time to become undetectable.
Hope things stay good for you!
Mark
FIGuy, alagirl-
Meds. I'm in the Roche Trial where you have a more than 50% chance of getting double dosed with Peg (360 v. 180) and 1400 or 1600 of Copeg v. 1200. Since this is a random, double-blinded trial, the meds part is a total shot in the dark. Having said that, I went from 22.1 mil down to 1,680 by week 4...so I have a pretty good idea I was getting a double wack of Peg and at least the 1200 dose of Copeg, if not 1400. Interestingly, they kept cutting my Copeg because of anemia from week 8 on, but it didn't make any difference at week 12.
frijole--
Still waiting on the actual labs...will post when I get them.
That is wonderful I hope things will work out well with the remainder of your treatment. I am still some what scared to death and in much pain waiting to see who will treat what first. But enough of me already I am very happy for you and your loved ones!
That is the most wonderful news.
Congrats!

What are the meds you are using? For some reason, I'm thinking you might be on the Albuferon trial - or maybe I'm not remembering correctly?
geez louise, twenty two mil! Wow. That's great news on the UND. Did you have any viral load tests prior to 12 weeks?
Congrats. What was the sensitivity?

YAY now that's the ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your tox!
