Hepatic parenchymal disease can be a result of hep c, but it can also be present in the absence of hep c. Hepatic disease and cellular change is not specific only to hepatitis; parenchymal disease can be caused be a number of other other factors or diseases, alpha-1 antitrypsin or hemochromatosis for example.
