I have contacted my Blue Cross Blue Shield they will not cover anything for hepatitis C I am on disability because of a back injury I thought I read someone said that media care may pay for this drugs, is that true
I'm talking about the two new ones that are pill form
There are several from canada on this forum, so hopefully they can give you some guidance for assistance in addition to the link for assistance from the phamas provided above. I think with the colder temperatures, they're just moving a little slower, lol.
thanks for the info,,,I'll look into it,,,,,,everyone who answered is from the USA,,,I'm in canada ,,,,things are different!llol,,,,,thanks though!;)
If you qualify they will give you the drugs for free but you will still have the cost of doctors visits and lab work. I found treatment though a clinical trial as well but they can be tricky best to do your research before entering, I was lucky and found one that is all FDA approved drugs and is open label so no surprises. I wish you all the best moving foward.

As Debra mentioned above the best way would be to try to get into a trial. There are some good ones going on now and you will get excellent care and the meds and labs etc would be free. Some trials even will pay you for participation.Seeing as the new meds cost around 8000.00 per month(Depending if you needed the 3 rd drug) this would be the easy way to get tx.Hopefully there will be one not to far from you good luck cindy
I think the best way for free treatment is going through a Study Trail – You can look them up if they need anyone at this link below. There are different locations just hope there is one close to you soon… Hope this helps. This is what I’m doing for my treatment.

There are some programs such as the Patient Assistance Program that can pay for medications if you are not eligible for Medicaid but cannot afford other insurance options.
