It sounds like to me that you are putting yourself in certain situations that give you cause to freak out about HIV/HEP C. Well you should be freaked out and make bad choices in life the more you are opening yourself to any infection. And I mean any infection......! If you are freaked out then go get tested for anything and everything. Also learn about how you can contract any kind of infection. Never hurts.
its always a pleasure to read your comebacks-thanks!
"These things are sent to test us."
I think you are right, and how anybody could think there would be even a slight risk is beyond me........ Oh well
These things are sent to test us.
I would say your correct- you do have HIV/HepC anxiety. The odds of contracting either from what you described are probably as close to zero as you can get if not zero itself. The theory (I call it theory because in my work I've come across a lot of IV drug users who, for many reasons deny injecting drugs.."no, I just snort") of catching HCV from snorting is based on the transfer a straw/rolled dollar/ect tip from an infected individual with some nasal bleeding directly and contacting another's nasal mucus membrane- placing infected blood on another's mucus membranes. Though it seems to occur, most will tell you (as stated above) the frequency of this mode of transmitting is rarer than documented. Having said that, you may want to go to your local county health center and get checked for both (you may find it difficult to get your doc to order tests based on that story) as it sounds like it will make you feel better, then maybe hang with a diff crowd as your county health clinics will not want to see you every Monday morning. But your not alone- I get body fluid contact on me in my work somewhat frequently and though they're almost always negligible risk type events) and get HIV tested every year...used to be every 3 months, guess my anxiety is improving!
Thanks for your answer I just wanted an expert to tell me, I'll take your answer as the truth. I'm sorry if I sounded bigoted by making ridiculous accusations such as common contact as a form of transmission, just a young college student worried.
Doesn't hurt for anyone to be tested, you had no risk but get tested. Now you have a honest answer...... Good bye.
Exactly why I mentioned my anxiety, I just wanted to let you know that, however this was actual contact with a HEP C patient, so I wanted to know whether or not I should warrant for a test. If you could give me an honest answer instead of shutting me out it would be greatly appreciated.
Well I see they ran you off the HIV prevention forum so you decided to play here.......... You had no risk so move on.
