Doctor told me I was UDN after 4 weeks, geno #3 on Reba/Peg... He said I was a Quick responder and instead of doing the whole 6 months, I will be able to stop after 5 months... Did I here him right or was I hellucinating, somebody told me I will have to do the whole 6 months???????

I am genotype 3a and only completed 20 weeks of weight based interferon and pegasys. I was also UND at 4 weeks and almost 2 years later am still SVR ....
Not sure what to say....but that is what I was told as well...good luck :)

Why is it powerbuilt doctor suggested shortening tx to 5 months vs 6.  Is it because he's geno 3 and is this normal protocol for that geno?  I have done a lot of reading on this forum and other hep c sites and never heard of tx for 5 months.  Why would a doc suggest it?

Just curious.
