Stressed about ultrasound

Hi all

Haven't been on line in a while ... Hope all are doing ok.... My husband just had an ultrasound he had hep c but had successful treatment in 2009 liver was already cirrhotic but actually improving and functioning. However he  just had a ultrasound and there was a new spot on his liver that wasn't there before. Knowing the statistics I'm totally paranoid it's HCC. Up to this point his ultrasounds had gone with minimal changes and in fact some improvement. Is it possible it's not cancer?

Appreciate people's thoughts and experience :)

Of course us that are cirrhotic this is very scary. But as you will see there are other things that can and does cause this. I'm sure if there is any concern a better imaging test will and should be done. Hang in there.
