Did I have a breakthru update.

Hi to all,

I received the results of my 10 week VL test.  VL went up to 1170.  My doctor has discontinued treatment.  I am thru for now. This was triple therapy with incivek.   I will meet with him in a month to discuss research trials.  Good luck to you all. My two friends on the same treatment are both UND on 4,8 and 12.  I haven't lost hope.

GL and God Bless
Harry

Hi I just wanted to add my sincere sorrow that the tx did not work.  I had similar experience and can imagine how you feel.
There are new drugs being tested now.  I wish you the best

Sorry to hear that tx did not work for you.  Keep in close contact with your doctor as there is a great deal of research and new things in the pipeline.  There are some great places to search for trials including HCV Advocate (www.hcvadvocate.org) and www.clinicaltrials.gov  Keep the faith!

I talked to my Dr yesterday about future treatment in case my viral load is not down next week, as she will stop my treatment also.  she said there was a new treatment in the works that was all oral.  With all the baby boomers who are being tested and new cases everyday, these drug companies all want in on the action.  I think there will be many more treatments available soon, so don't give up.  Good luck to you

I'm very sorry for your news but like Pooh said there are great new drugs on the horizon.  Perhaps your doc can get you linked into one of the latter staged trials and get you cured that way.

Still that news has to hurt.  I'm sorry best of luck.
