EOT-aggregation of platelets and high liver enzymes

While my 48week EOT PCR like all my others shows undetected, my other labwork shows aggregation of platelets and high liver enzymes. I saw a hepatologist who says we'll take it one step at a time starting with more labwork in a month. He says both could be caused by residual meds still in my system, or they could be indicators of some autoimmune activity taking place. Fingers crossed, anyone else experience anything like these two symptoms?

Hi, the above members have given you excellent adivce.  I also had elevated liver enzymes at EOT, it is just the left over medicine and effects of tx, I am sure your doctor is right.  It will all settle down.  The great news is that you are UND!  That is wonderful news.  It does take time to recover from tx.  Some people do so in a few weeks, others take a few months.  I was in the latter.  We are all different, all in different stages and grade with HCV so we all react differently.  My doc said that was why I had such a bad time treating, because I was in the beginning of cirrhosis it would be a hard tx and harder to kill the virus.  But...it happened and I am eternally grateful.
I also had the clumping platelets, which came from the HCV, tx and liver damage.  It all evened out by 6 months.
My best to you.

Thanks to God I did not have low plateles during treatment.. Cheers to you for doing 48 weeks. not easy I am sure. God bless you going be ok give it time

If "aggregation" means "clumping", yes.  And if the EOT was immediately after EOT (within a week or two of last meds) then yes, the enzymes could be the result of the junk still floating around you.  Doc's right.  Give it a month and re-do.
