Forgot to tell you to ask for Marty when you call. She works with Dr Howard Schwartz. They are fabulous there.
Good luck
I too live in FLL and park at TriRail and get to South Miami with no stress.
Dr. Schiffs office called me 2 weeks ago about a trial with Gilead but I am doing the TMC435 a little further south at MRA ...
For Cbw36 I would try Miami Research Associates as well 305-598-3125. Tell them Sharon referred you.
Thanks for the info. So are you still in tx or svr?
I'm naturally anxious to get this done over with and go on with life. Thanks again for sharing.
Due to UM's stature in the HCV arena they are usually involved in most significant drug trials. Makes sure you let them know you are interested and they will keep track of your interest. After I visited the called me a few times about various trials. Since I was already down a re-treatment path I needed to decline.
I work in FLL and live a little north of there and UM is not the most convienient trip to make. If you are in any sort of trial with them you'd need to make several trips down there. So, when you go for your appointment make a point to determine the degree of difficulty in getting there and back. Parking alone will make you nuts (opt for valet).
Jeffers is well aware of the options and very knowledgeable of the trial game. If an option is to get a consult with him with a different doc executing the treament he'll be glad to give the treating doc his recommendations.
Make sure they get all your records before hand, especially pathologist's biopsy reports. They probably covered that already - they are pretty thorough.
Good luck.
Thanks. I actually have appt next month w Jeffers. Would you happen to know if any of the UM guys participated in tela or boc trials?
how was your experience?
p.s. Expect that earliest appointment is few-several months out.

I like Jeffers. Schiff is the "Godfather" and literally wrote the book. Hear great things about O'Brien
