Help converting HCV MEq/ml to IU/ML

Need help converting HCV MEq/ml to IU/ML. A close approximation is fine too.
RESULT: 53 H, UNITS: HCV MEq/ml

I believe you would take teh 53 and divide it by 3 to get your Viral Load which would equal 17.6666.  That is what I could tell from reading the conversion charts.

But I am gonna bump this one up and let the "pros" answer this.  I could be completely off base.  If anything, call your Dr and ask him (that's if you can get him or his nurse on the phone)!

For converting numbers from eq to IU and vice versa, different labs use different conversion factors, in the range from 2 to 5 viruses per IU. If you do not know the factor that your lab uses, using a factor of three might be reasonable. That means: Viral loads given in eq/ml have to be divided by three to get the viral load in IU/ml. And, viral loads given in IU/ml have to be multiplied by three to get the result in eq/ml.
