One week at a time and before you know it you are done. It does sort of become part of your routine - it's just what you do.
Thanks for comments. Just so scared of the idea of 48 weeks. Best to all.

Depends on which PI you select and how quickly you respond to trt. Following is the response guided trt for both from their websites. You should also have a biopsy to determine the status of your liver. Good luck in you selection and hope trt goes well for you. Oh, and welcome to the forum :-)
INCIVEK must be administered with both peginterferon alfa and ribavirin for all patients for 12 weeks, followed by a response-guided regimen of either 12 or 36 additional weeks of peginterferon alfa and ribavirin depending on viral response and prior response status.
Initiate therapy with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin for 4 weeks. Add VICTRELIS 800 mg (four 200-mg capsules) orally three times daily (every 7-9 hours) to peginterferon alfa and ribavirin regimen after 4 weeks of treatment. Based on the patient's HCV-RNA levels at Treatment Week (TW) 8, TW12 and TW24, use the following Response-Guided Therapy
guidelines to determine duration of treatment - 28, 36 or 48 depending on UND status at week 8.
Sorry to hear of your most recent diagnosis, however today treatments are approx.70 -80 % sussecfull for geno type 1 .
Your specialist may order a biopsy or a fibroscan to ascertain the amount of liver damage(fibroisis) you may or may not have and with that info. you can discuss different treament options.
If in fact you have "no" or" minimal" damage one option may be to wait for even better drugs, many of which are being experimented currently in trials.
Treatments today take anywhere from 24 to 48 weeks ,depending on what drugs are used and your response to such...
Good luck and welcome to the group....lots of good folks here to help with your questions..
