I really can't tell you if I had any sides from Zofram-- constipation --definately not diarrhia!
I take antidepressants which give me constipation--so I have to take something for that to help relieve that usually a couple times a week.
It helps only with my nausea....upset stomach that I get daily...from the ribaviran...I take 800 mg of that a day...weight based ...I weight between 130-133....female..
hope this info helps..

Hi debnavada, how many a day, any side effects, did they help with your energy levels?

i took zofran when i had intractable nausea. It is very expensive. My ins. co. would only give me 8 of them a month. I was taking the 8 mg. ones.
I had severe diarrhea (sx of radiation).

What symptoms did it alleviate for you, was it fatigue, nausea, itching?
What are your energy levels like on it?
Did you experience any constipation?
Jdwithhepc, sldb - thanks for replying, it helpful info. Did either of you experience constipation?

I take Zofran everyday..usually get away w/just one pill...4mg...generic name is ONDANSETRON... Cost @ Walgreens for 30 pills is $495.00 USD..it is covered by most insurance companies...I did take phenegram..12.5mg as needed..made me tired and also mixed w/my antidepressants @ night and gave me restless leg syndrome...
I like the Zofram a lot better.. NO SIDE EFFECTS... and it works quickly...
Hope this info helps...

I was prescribed Zofran for severe nausea I experienced during radiation and chemotherapy (5-FU, oxiliplatin and Xeloda.) It was not particularly helpful for me. The prescription was for 30 pills and cost $1200 USD. I do not recall the dose.
Because the Zofran did not help, I took it only for a short time, maybe 10-14 days. I did not experience any side effects specifically from the Zofran, or any benefits either.
Hope this info is helpful.

zofran works much better than phenergan for nausea /vomiting. I tried it , no sides.phenergan tends to cause drowsiness and cand drop your blood pressure.Zofran is expensive, around 75.00 for a rx. not sure how many pills, but not many. Good luck...Leah
