Good evening, like most of us who become obsessed with Hep c or develop a phobia, I add myself to the list. I can't live life without worrying about going out and cutting myself and becoming infected. My main concern is becoming infected and giving it down to my kids. I ask for serious amswers, from those who know about this subject. I work as a insulation installer, where we use box cutters, knifes which are slim and meant to cut thw insulation and staplers. I once, may have wore someone else's respirator mask since we work at a fast pace and we were coming back from lunch. One of guys at the shop gave me a knife since my last one broke and my fear is that he cut himself that same day with it while taking it out and handing it over to me,i did cut my finger that day not deep just surface. I once also used some else's box cutter and he removed the blade in front of me and after a few minutes later o accidentally pocket my fingertip with the tip of the blade. I know these scenarios sound really paranoid but I've let this go over my head now. Are any of these scenarios a possible risk factor or how easily is hep c transmitted. All this info online can really throw you off and scare one. I always have pencil tip size scrapes or cuts since we work around nails and staples, can these also be a possible trasmittion point?? We work with various tools like ladders and scuffles, can some one bleed on these tools and make it a possible route of transmission. Some one please help, this is really affecting my living.
