I'm only 2 weeks in but my exp. has been that there a couple of fluish days after the interferon injection. Nurse told me wait one month then you can usually be sure how things are going to affect you. I was so scared of the sx that I wanted to chicken out.
My body aches increased at about week 20... stayed pretty bad for 5 or 6 weeks and then went back to like things were previously. I don't think there was any trigger to make it worse during that time... it is just no telling when it comes to sx......

Greeting from a fellow Minnesotan!
I never had the achiness early in tx like many people do, but had some issues later in tx - and I think mainly because I was less active then due to the drop in hemoglobin.
I think it was similar to what IAmTheWalrus stated - it was more wearing on me than actually getting worse.
Most Dr. will OK taking some Tylenol for relief (up to 2000 mg per day) but check with yours for their opinion on OTC meds.
Hope things improve for you soon.......Pam
It is really hard to say. In my own case they really did not change significantly during treatment. Some weeks they seemed a little better, some weeks a little worse.
I remember having much the same questions as you have when I started. You are wondering if things continue to go downhill at the same rate as in the first months of TX, and if so, how will you deal with it.
This was definitely NOT the case for me. My side effects reached the peak aroung 12 to 20 weeks. After that, they never really became more acute. As time went on (I did 84 weeks of tx), the chronic fatigue seemed to wear on me and take a toll psychologically, but I did not really feel more sick as time went on.
Like James says, everyone's experience seems to be a little different. But I don't think there is any reason to expect a big change this far into TX.
Best of luck to you!
I am in week 18. My aches got better not worse. Everyone is different as you probably know. The future seems to be tied to your blood work.
Good luck
