My wife read about a new nausea drug that has a longer half life than zofran.
My NP was reluctant to try zofran at first, maybe I'll start the process with her with the new one. lol
Atleast now, I know it is common.
Nausea and vomiting happend in 25% of patients doing peg/riba tx.

Even at week 20 there are some mornings, infrequent, that I have nausea in the morning. I had nausea off and on after incevik, the zofran works well for me. It is less frequent the further out from incevik. I also wonder if dehydration in the morning is partly to blame becaue after I drink some water it generally goes away. I know I don't drink enough water period.
Getting sick right when you get up must be very unpleasant. I wonder if it would help if you took an antinausea med an hour before you got up.
I have had pretty bad nausea and some vomiting too (now controlled by Zofran). I could be wrong about this, but I think the nausea is (at least partially) from the interferon (and probably the Riba too).
The mornings when I've gotten sick, it was immediately after getting out of bed.
No warning,,,, just boom.
I have been nauseas as well. I try to eat several small meals a day and I take a zantac 150 which for some strange reason works. Hang in there hopefully it will get better soon.
