Hi, folks -- as noted above, we already have one topic about the 20 mg. fat requirement (http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-C/You-dont-need-20-grms-af-fat-for-telepravir/show/1846311).  Since the Incivek site advises "Eat a meal or snack that contains about 20 grams of fat, within 30 minutes before you take each dose of INCIVEK", it serves no useful purpose to keep going over this ground, especially in two separate threads.

This is definitely not directed at anyone in particular, but I find it interesting that in a country and world where obesity and bad diet is common, that so many people have a problem with the fat requirement. And according to Jules post, you admitted as much. You should do what your heart says, but then don't be surprised if you suffer sever gi sides and do not svr...Mark

glass of full cream milk,or an Avacado they just said when you eat wbefore taking it make sure you have some food woth full fat,not skim or low fat,she said two rich creamy biscuits would do,But I eat too much already so I don't see any problem.

This is from your last post on the other post.  I agree with the others that this post has been answered repeatedly and correctly.  It's your choice.  But you also contradict yourself in saying

So I don't see what the issue is here!

Take INCIVEK exactly how your healthcare provider tells you. Your healthcare provider will tell you how much INCIVEK to take and when to take it.

    Take 2 INCIVEK pills (a dose) 3 times a day
    Eat a meal or snack that contains about 20 grams of fat, within 30 minutes before you take each dose of INCIVEK
    Each dose should be taken 7 to 9 hours apart. Pick the same time each day to make it easier to remember
    INCIVEK must be taken with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin

If you read incivek pages they do say 20 grams of fat with food, take it as you wish, I have given you documented information and in the end it is your decision if you want to cut corners.
If you can show me one place, anywhere, it says it is ok to take it with just milk that is documented, please do.

  Well,  I was on the Victrelis,  so I had different instructions (just to take it with a meal) but I did feel better when I ate a high fat meal with the pills, so I would throw a tortilla shell on my gas burner, heat it, and put peanut-butter on it.
   Three tablespoons of peanut-butter is around 20 grams of fat :)
  After a few weeks, I got sick of peanut-butter, and switched to the whole milk yogurt, the kind with the cream on the top, yum yum.
  There was a small study done by HALT, that said coffee may help, and I like coffee, so I would have coffee also, and the cream is fatty. I ended up trying capaccino, and now tha's all I drink, with the wet, frothy foam on top of the expresso. I think I finally grew up~
